You are here...

Across the Universe. Or as scientist propose, the Multiverse .The multiverse (or meta-universe, metaverse) is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including the one unique universe we are pretty sure we consistently inhabit) that together comprise everything that physically exists: the entirety of space and time, all forms of matter, energy and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The term was coined in 1895 by the American philosopher and psychologist William James.[1] The various universes within the multiverse are sometimes called parallel universes. . It has been brought to my attention recently that the Universe as we know it is flat. By taking a beam of light and  shooting it in one direction 45 degrees and then shooting a a beam of light the opposite direction 45 degrees, scientist are able to calculate the distance in between the two beams of light to determine if the universe as we know it is curved or ( spherical) however the data proves the contrary. One author explains it it this way " Why does the Universe look flat? This was one of the perplexing questions in cosmology for a long time. Today, most astronomers believe in the theory of inflation (and there are pieces of evidence supporting this). According to this theory, the Universe underwent exponential expansion about 10-30 seconds after the Big Bang. The result was that something of the size of an atom expanded to the size of the solar system by the end of the inflationary epoch.
If this were the case, irrespective of the original geometry of the Universe, it would appear flat to us. The analogy will be to take a balloon; we can easily see it to be rounded; now blow the balloon to a very large volume and then put a small ant on its surface. The ant will think that it is on a sheet; it cannot detect the curvature. To put this in another way, the distances that we probe are way too small to detect any possible curvature in the Universe."  We are all living in this great expanse, this great void, and honestly, it's all a bit trippy. I mean how can one not view how coincidental it is that we (Humans)  are living in the exact conditions  necessary to support life? I have heard our Earth being described as having the Goldi lock of all conditions, not too cold, not too hot, but just right. I believe, God is that expanse. So what are we doing here anyway? Are we just another hypothetical calculation, simply just existing to exist, because the right symbiotic conditions are available to support life? If you have ever doubted yourself and the existence of said deity,  just take a  look around. We can all agree we are here for short amount of time, in the middle of this place, called space, just floating, spinning,  waiting for answers. But the answers just aren't there. Or are they? maybe we just need to look in the right place.   check out : http://www.history.com/shows/the-universe

This is the program responsible for all this new thought. Come to your own conclusion, make your own decision,  the Universe will be waiting.
